Never lose your sense of WONDER.

There are many who wonder about the truth about God. Does He exist? Does He care?

I’m sure He does and I’m certain that the great designer of the world wanted to communicate with the people He made. That is why He sent Jesus.

Jesus is God in the flesh. Yes, God’s Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1-14). Christmas is the day we celebrate the revelation of God to mankind. Most people think Christmas is Jesus’ birthday. It’s not; Jesus was likely born in the spring. But that doesn’t even matter. It’s all about the truth that God Himself came and lived here on earth (as Jesus) so that all of us would be able to learn more about God the Father — who He is and what His intentions are.

Jesus showed is that God’s intentions were (are) to bring all (sinners) to a saving grace by HIS OWN ACTION — taking the punishment for our sins by dying on a cross so that we would stand blameless before God. No gift of mercy exceeds that.

I pray that God will help me retain my sense of awe and wonder over the incarnation of Jesus. Let’s focus on the wonderful gift of God’s grace and mercy. In a world where all have fallen short of the goodness of God, God reached out anyway and said, ‘I love you! No matter what you have done, I love you! Just turn your heart to me (God).’

It’s that simple. If you really want to know God, pray to God and confess your sins with a repentant and submissive heart. Once you’ve done that, pray for God’s Spirit to move you; He will. I promise you, if you intend to be ONE with God, He will make His desires yours. Everything becomes new at that point as you receive a new heart. (Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.)  This is real life…the abundant life in Christ.

I have experienced this truth, and I wish the same fulfilling life for you.

Celebrate Christmas for what it really is all about.

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word.

I think of it this way: God’s deepest desires became reality when His words became actions in the life of Jesus Christ.

Embrace the truth.

I wish you a very merry Christmas.
