YOU ARE VALUABLE. Your worth is not determined by where you are or those around you. God made you because He loves you and you are a treasure to Him. I hope this analogy helps you see that. A bottle of water at Costco is 25¢. The same bottle in the grocery store is worth about 50¢. The same bottle in a bar costs $2. In a fancy restaurant or a hotel it could be worth maybe $3. At an airport or on a plane, you might be charged $5. And what about the full water bottle that was tossed into the trash when airport security told its owner they couldn’t take it onto the plane. That bottle is now...
As Kelly Minter says, we live in a time "when the word LOVE means just about anything under the sun, and therefore almost nothing."
So how can we know what love really is? Answer: look at Jesus. He SHOWS us what love is...and much of what He demonstrates is having a servant-heart and putting others first.

Winston Churchill, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” What can you do to make a bigger difference? How rich is your life? Feeling like you have nothing to give? Feeling poor (financially)? Remember this: More than anything, God asks us to be other-centered; He wants you to give away LOVE. When I lost hundreds of thousands of dollars to an embezzling business partner, I was extremely angry. But with time I realized that I still had something to give away…LOVE. The move I gave, the richer I felt. I wouldn’t trade my current life (one which has left me in debt and without my once well-working athletic body) for anything...
When I was young, I was taught to memorize prayers. It wasn't until my late 30's that I realized God wants us to speak to Him from our heart. We do this to share ourselves with the very One who made us; to let Him know we love Him and that we want His desires to become ours. We acknowledge our errors and ask for forgiveness; we renew the Spirit within us and ask for empowerment (which He happily gives). Throughout our lifetime, we become stronger as we are transformed eventually into the image of His Son, Jesus. Isn't it like God to make a simple request of us (to pray) and then use that for our good. Such an...
Anne Graham Lotz says in her 07/29/19 AnGel Ministries email "If we think we can avoid God by pleading indifference toward Him or ignorance of Him, we're mistaken; both choices are indirect rejection. John makes this point when he states, 'He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.' (John 1:10 NIV) It would be easier to imagine Ford Motor Company not recognizing Henry Ford, or Microsoft not recognizing Bill Gates, or the United States of America not recognizing George Washington than to imagine man not recognizing his Creator!" She later states, "The majority of the world doesn't recognize Him for Who He is. The world talks of and teaches...
