Let's take a few minutes to pretend.If life is a fairytale and it’s up to you to create a happy ending, what would you do differently than you’re doing now? THE PURPOSE of THIS POST is to understand that new beginnings (fairy tale ending, if you will) can happen without regrets. The ADDITION of POWER - Where does that come from for you?

You may have read a previous post about all the things God worked out to help me move my 95-yr-old mom, but let me share part of that again, simply to focus on the POWER that God adds to our lives. It's beyond anything you will ever create on your own.  Let me share one specific MIRACLE: When I was trying to move my 95-yr-old mom, I needed certain documents from Social Security. When I requested the paperwork, they informed me "We don't accept Power of Attorney (which I was), and we can only mail the documents to the person's address on file.” That was terrible news because my mom lived about a 3-hour round-trip away, and she would lose...

Being Grumpy is Optional (& One of the Hardest Lessons I had to Learn)

You have heard me say it before: Pain is inevitable, being grumpy is optional. Is this true? Yes, that is true…and each of us has a choice in how we respond to pain (or anything, for that matter). It’s that simple. We can respond with negativity and irritation or with optimism and positivity. Which of the following reminds you of you when you are feeling pain? We can choose kindness and self-control. We can stop and take a deep breath before we spew hurtful words pour out of our mouths.
