Reading the Word of God may not sound exciting, but it's worth it. I had not read the Bible until I was in my late 30's. In fact, the 1st time I read a story in the Bible (story of Sodom & Gomorrah), I heaved the Bible across the room thinking how ridiculous! But about a decade later, I read the entire Bible. Since then, I have re-read it again & again.
My Bible is now in shambles; but I’m better than ever. I see the world differently; everything in relation to God. I would never go back to my life where God was on the backburner. Why would I? Why miss out on getting to know the One who made you, the One who loves you. ❤️
By reading the Bible it becomes obvious that God is a merciful & loving God. He would do anything to have a loving relationship w/ you. He proved that when Jesus died on the cross for the our sins. ❤️ God is also a just God. He will tolerate only so much. He will punish the wicked, yet out of His merciful love, He restores them. ❤️
So I ask you, what other “god” is there who puts YOU first? What “god” would cover your sins? What “god” says I know you’re not perfect; that’s OK; I’ve created THE WAY for you to live with me eternally?
❤️ Answer: Only the God of the Bible. Get to know Him. Feed on His Word.
